ReplyDeleteI'm not sure which of the Summers I am..... I was a towhead as a kid up until 7th grade, then it darkened to a dishwater blonde. My eyes are medium blue with a noticeable grey ring around the outside of the iris. My skin is very yellow on the surface, a light olive almost, and I tan to a rich golden color. My overall look is sunny, but Spring's salmon color turns me orange. Can you help me decide?

ReplyDeleteThank you for your quick response. I love your website! I am also of Polish/Russian heritage and have many small brown spots in my grey-blue eyes. I have darker skin that most people would NOT label as "light"... it looks almost like Asian skin color - medium value with a very yellow overtone. Most people think I have lighter skin than I do, probably due to my highlighted blonde hair. HTH!

ReplyDeletei am having a really hard time. it seems like the more i look into this the more possabilities there are. my eyes are blue and green with brown around the iris. people always tell me that my eyes stand out. i was born a blond but as i reached a new phase in my life my hair would get darker. since ive had kids i dont even know what my color is anymore. i wuld say med brown. and i tan easily like red but when i wake up in the morning its brown. i definitley have the winter charachteristics in my eyes but im always dowting my decision. so many perfessionals have the same celebs in diffrent categories. ive tried color draping and i really see no diffence as long as i stay on the cool side. omg i am so confused.

I am also confused. There seems to be so many possibilities that a person with brown hair, blue-grey eyes can be. My friend thinks I am autumn because of my pink skin with freckles but I think I am summer because of my ashy hair and eyes. And the freckles are only during summer, and they are brown, not orange. And I look horrible in orange or yellow clothes, better in jeans blue or dusty purple.

DeleteI have soft brown eyes, greenish, a rust brown in the very center, they are muted, not bright with no "lines". Also they have blue grey ring around the outside. My skin is very cool. I have medium to dark mousy brown hair with some red highlights. People want to put me into "winter" because at first glance they see my eyes as brown- and they are not solid brown. Additionally the colors in Winter look harsh on me- unless I have a lot of makeup on. I think I'm a deep summer by the x16 season thing. I can wear dusty rose with a deep charcoal well. The only semi bright color I can wear is a light/brightish powder pink and a lemon yellow- but not as bright as the Winter lemon. What do you think? the only color in Autumn I can wear is sage green and and olive green as long as I mix cool colors with them.
ReplyDeleteI read once that cool summers can have darker eyes than blues and greys, is this true? and about soft summer? It's complicated to me understand in what category i am, because i have ash brown hair (it's very light, almost dark blond but it's getting more and more gray with the years), very light skin, but my eyes are brown, a very pale kind, with no yellow undertones. I could be an autumn but my skin is very cool and i wear earth colors really bad, most of yellows and oranges makes me look sick. And i guess i don't have enough contrast to be a winter too. Cool colors in general looks good on me (most shades of blue), but i have to wear faded cool colors, because dark colors (especially black) are way too heavy on my skintone. Cool summers color palette works pretty good on me and soft summers colors as well. But i am kinda lost about my eye color and i really don't know what's my season.

Hi! And thank you for your interesting blog! I would like to ask what is the main difference between soft and cool summer? They both seem to be able to have middle ash brown hair, grey-blue eyes and pink toned skin. I think I am a little bit cooler than those soft summer examples, but maybe lighter than cool summer examples. For example in your soft summer site there is a girl with a long pink dress (I think she is a little bit tanned) and on this site there is a girl with a greyish blue shirt - are they not the same?
